Diner

Some paintings almost paint themselves.  This was one of them.  I wanted to capture the way the light bounces around in an environment of stainless steel surfaces.

One of the fun things about diners are all the kitsch items of nostalgia. This is from the Dream Diner in Tynsboro, NH. My favorite piece is the lunch box that looks like an old TV set complete with the image of Elvis playing the piano.
