Going Out

6"x6" oil SOLD
What does "Stepping Out"mean to you?  It used to mean going dancing to me, but funny thing, once I got married my husband lost interest in dancing.  Clearly his motivation to kick up his heals was different than mine.  So, in our slower, and early to bed days, it probably means going to a concert or the theater, or maybe out to eat with friends.  My dancing is relegated to aerobics or maybe Zumba.  So, what is your idea of "going out?"

Waiting

6"x6" oil
I painted this for 3 main reasons : 1) on one of the painting sights I participate in there was a challenge to paint shoes this month  2)  I have been working on using a limited palette  3) I love the abstract quality of this.  I hope to move into more abstracted representational images, but I suspect it is going to be a slow process.  I used Gumbacher Red, French Ultramarine, and Indian Yellow for this, with Radiant White.  I really like this painting and may do it again with a different palette just to see where I can go with this.

30-30 Challenge #10&11

each 2"x4.5" acrylic
I am trying to get caught up because I am so far behind on my 30 paintings.  The top one is from a friend's photo which just captured my attention and the bottom one is of my favorite kayaking lake.

Going Out II oil 5x7

This is the second version of a little painting I really liked. I was going to change the shoe color, but I just like this. There is no red in this painting, and I think it still works! I guess I could make her toe nails red. #101

Can We Go Now? 5x7" oil

This stance just says to me impatience which is why I titled it "Can We Go Now?" It was fun doing the pant wrinkles. This is my 100th posted painting!#100
