Actually this is the first painting I did of the NY series. I am out-of-town, so I am posting some already finished paintings, not yet posted. This was an assignment by Karin Jurick. We all painted from the same photo. It was not only a lesson in Karin's technique, it also is an excellent example of simple but powerful composition and universal subject matter. It was really fun to see how everyone interpreted the same subject. We painted different styles and the signature of brushstrokes made each unique. #25
